Corvus was born from a small Coraxan parliament of Owls called Athenians. They inherited their name from the goddess Athena when she chose their kind to represent her wisdom, power, and beauty. As Corvus grew older, he realized his species of Athenians was dwindling and his entire family had started developing unique diseases which no Corvus Corax remedy could cure. By the age of 16, he realized he had begun learning about the elements of The Seven and picked up a particular fascination with jewels. Corvus’s desire to hone the craft of jewel magic in order to save his species drew his attention to the diamond planet, Nonpareil. After several years of exploring the depths of Nonpareil, gaining access to the Forbidden Library from his companions in the Seekers of the Seven and his newfound relationship with Dark Jewel, and understanding more about the use of jewel magic, he returned home to the Athenians on Corvus Corax to put his findings to use. However, upon arrival, Obsidian and Nightshade were waiting to greet him at the port with solemnity consuming their expressions.

It was soon after that Corvus heard the news – feathers, talons, and claw marks blanketed the ground surrounding the bottomless pit. Zor the Guardian seemed to be poisoned and was recovering in the west wing of the Coraxan Palace. His family and the entire remaining community of Athenians had been devastatingly dragged out of their village in the middle of the night by an unknown entity directly into the only connection The Seven has to The Void.
