Oberion IV is a descendant of the ancient Cartographers who were spread out amongst the galaxy – a few per planet. Oberion IV is one of the last remaining Cartographers in all of The Seven, giving his job much more weight in importance. It also keeps him busy, having to travel from planet to planet to create more and more maps of each new civilization, new landmark or monument, or new disaster. He works for some of the  highest officials across The Seven, including the Queen herself, to provide them with the best visuals of each planet.

Oberion IV is one of the kindest and humorous individuals in the galaxy, but he also has a secretive side to him. He not only has access to every new map that is created, but he holds the key to every map created and salvaged in the entire history of The Seven. That means he holds the key to some of the most invaluable information in all of the galaxy. This  makes him both an easy friend to make or an easy target for those who desire power and riches beyond their wildest imaginations.
