Rin and his sister, Cordelia, are rumored to be descendants of the late Oceanus, Titan of the Seven Seas. Rin is as stubborn as his father was, being a true protector of his kingdom and people. He rarely seems to care about anything that doesn’t involve the safety and ancient power of the Harlinians. 

Whenever Rin was younger and served under his father, Ula, he led a mission with a group of Harlinian warriors to retrieve what they believed was rightfully theirs – the trident of the late Triton, King of the Seven Seas. However, Triton’s trident was hidden deep in the heart of Trileithia – the second largest underwater kingdom of The Seven. After three long months of deep ocean exploration, Rin successfully located the trident and planned to bring it back to the Sea of Olympus before Zè, Ruler of Zenith, ordered Rin to return the trident to him, considering it was property of the Trileithians. Rin refused, stating that he was not only the one who discovered it, but as a descendant of Oceanus deserved to control the power of the Seven Seas. This caused extreme tension between the Zenians/Tileithians and the Harlinians, placing the relationship between Zè and Golden Sun in a difficult and complicated position – especially considering Golden Sun didn’t require Rin to return to the trident to its home, but keep the powerful item in the Sea of Olympus.
