Sigríður grew up with The Snow King. They hunted together, fished together, played stupid pranks on their parents together, the whole best friend nine yards. She even seemed to have a buried crush on him once they were of age to believe in those things, but she never once let it show nor told anyone for fear of embarrassment. 

“Everything changed the day he was summoned to Olympus. I was 16 years old and he was 17. Whenever he returned, it was as if he was a different person. Well, maybe the same person, but in a different skeleton of a body…if that makes sense? I don’t know, he was just different. He  began spending a lot more one-on-one time with someone who came back with him from Olympus – I think it was the Queen’s son. I don’t know how to pronounce his name, but he’s handsome and seems powerful. Anyways, we basically stopped going on hunting trips, staying up late dreaming about the ancients, and digging up cool artifacts from the snow in the Ice Caps. I wish he would come back. I think I’ve lost my best friend. And now I’m just some random Fur-Trading-Owner’s-Daughter who he doesn’t care about anymore. Maybe, eventually, we’ll find our way back.”
