Tharen doesn’t care about power or gold, magic or gifts. In fact, he doesn’t seem to care about anything, any planet, or anyone. All he cares about is revenge.

He was once married to one of the most beautiful women in the galaxy. They were blessed with three children and happily lived together on Olympus. One year, Tharen surprised his wife with a dream she’d had her entire life – to explore the entire galaxy, traveling from planet to planet. An expensive trek, but something Tharen had saved up years for. 

Everything went perfectly on their first planet, Zenith, but the exciting adventure was short-lived once they arrived on the desert planet. They started in Kalara to see Kriak’s Temple and some of the other ancient monuments. One night, when they were traveling from Kalara to a neighboring city, he began to black out spontaneously, hearing the screams of his family drowning out as he hit the desert ground.

He awoke, stranded in the middle of the desert, clothes ripped and everything stolen. He found a small piece of parchment which read, “Πρόσληψη Sand Stretch. Πληρωμή έως και XL ž.” He immediately knew the rumors of the Sand Stretch were true, and his wife and kids had just been sentenced to their death for ransom. 

Tharen was spotted by Sand Pirates and taken captive. All his hopes and dreams were lost. The empty void in his heart began to be consumed by rage. He challenged the captain to a duel to the death – something a captain is unable to ever back down from. Losing his right hand and almost dying, Tharen was victorious that day. And, now, he had a crew of pirates to help him murder anything and anyone in his path.
